:: Objectives
 
1. Dissemiate the most recent estimates of relevant population numbers and vital rates annually. All figures are updated each year based on the most recent information available. As a result, it should be emphasized that data in the "Mahidol Population Gazette" of different years cannot be used as a time series.
2. IPSR has disseminated the "Mahidol Population Gazette" in January each year in both Thai and English version.

  Crude Birth Rate (per 1,000 population) : Number of births in one year divided by midyear population and multiply by 1,000.
bullet Crude Death Rate (per 1,000 population) : Number of deaths in one year divided by midyear population and multiply by 1,000.
bullet Natural Growth Rate (percent) : Number of births minus number of deaths divided by midyear population and multiply by 100.
bullet Infant Mortality Rate (per 1,000 live births) : Number of deaths of infants under age 1 in one year divided by total live births in that year and multiply by 1,000.
bullet Child Mortality Ratio (per 1,000 live births) : Number of deaths of children under age 5 in one year divided by total live births in that year and multiply by 1,000.
bullet Total Fertility Rate (TFR) : Average number of children a woman would have throughout her reproductive years, calculated by summing the age-specific fertility rates of women of reproductive age.
bullet Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (percent) : Percent of currently married women age 15 – 49 using contraception.
bullet Population Age Sixty and Over with Activity of Daily Living Dependencies : Population age 60 and over who depend on the others in order to perform the following basic activities; bathing, dressing, eating, getting up, and moving within the house.
